Accordingly, the Ministry of Industry and Trade requested the People's Committees of centrally-run provinces and cities to urgently support and create favorable conditions for vehicles (and escorts, deliverers and recipients) when transporting essential goods, raw materials and supplies for production in general, agricultural products and especially lychee (large output, short harvest time, strict storage and transportation requirements) of Bac Giang province in particular across provinces and cities in accordance with the direction of the Prime Minister in Directive No. 16/CT-TTg dated March 31, 2020 on the implementation of urgent measures to prevent and control Covid-19, Official Letter No. 873/BCT-TTTN dated February 18, 2021 of the Minister of Industry and Trade on promoting the circulation of essential goods and consumption of agricultural products, Official Letter No. 1083/BCT-TTTN dated  March 1, 2021 of the Minister of Industry and Trade on guiding the purchase and consumption of goods and agricultural products of the pandemic-affected area and the guiding documents of the relevant ministries and sectors, ensuring that essential goods and agricultural products are disease-free and food-safe.

The Ministry directed relevant departments and sectors to create favorable conditions for business activities of distribution enterprises and cooperatives (modern and traditional), take priority solutions, encourage enterprises to produce, proactively process and distribute in the locality and increase the consumption of agricultural products of Bac Giang province (including lychee) by 1.5 - 3 times compared to 2020.

The capacity of freezing, cold storage, preservation of agricultural and aquatic products and essential items of production, processing and distribution enterprises in the area shall be reviewed and synthesized to mobilize, support Bac Giang province when needed.

Department of Transport, transport businesses and cooperatives in the area were directed to develop plans for transporting essential goods, including agricultural products, according to each level to proactively respond with the development of Covid-19 to support timely and efficient transportation of goods in the locality and mobilize these means of transport to support other localities when necessary.
